John J. Relihan Jr., age 67, passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2007. The youngest and only boy of four children, John grew up in Fairfield, CT. He graduated from Georgetown University and was in the first law school class at ASU. John was a pioneer in providing legal services to the poor and served as director for Maricopa County Legal Aid Society from 1970

Lucy Prosperini was born to Pietro and Carmella Fardo in Ambridge, Pennsylvania on August 29, 1921. She was the eldest of seven children and is preceded in death by her two sisters Anne and Linda and her husband of 48 years, Leo Prosperini. She is survived by three brothers, John, Jack and Bobby Fardo and her sister Olga Suhayda, her loving children, daughter Linda Prosperini and son-in-law Marcello, daughter Leonetta and son-in-law Alan Cumpton and treasured grandchildren Alesha and her husband Robby Collins and Nathan Cumpton, along with many wonderful, caring friends.

Joan B. Joni Dodson, 77 of Phoenix, passed away June 28, 2007. She was born October 28, 1929 in Burlington, Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa with a masters degree in Art Education. In 1954, she and the late Dr. James A. Dodson were married. They moved to Phoenix in 1955. Joni is survived by her daughters; Michele Dearborn and husband Joe of Scottsdale, AZ and Suzi Keim and husband Karl of Flagstaff, AZ; grandchildren, Jaimie Jensen, Jeremy Jensen and Derek Dearborn. Services will be held Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix. Contributions can be made to the Phoenix Children

Lorraine Anne Davisson, 51, of Phoenix, passed away on June 22, 2007. Lorraine was born July 1, 1955 in Fairborn, Ohio and moved to Phoenix in 1985. She was a hard working Medical Technician for 35 years for various hospitals across the Valley. She is survived by her parents; Richard C. and Anna Davisson, sons; Gregory Charles Young Jr. and Moorman Lamont Young, daughters; Shiree Nicole Young and Latoya Ann Young, brothers; Richard A. Davisson and Deric Davisson, sister; Terry Currier, and fourteen grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2929 S. 48th St., Tempe, AZ 85282.

Peggy A. Ashby, 76, began her next journey on June 21, 2007 after battling cancer for several years. She was a native Arizonan born in Winslow on October 15, 1930 to parents, Andy Anderson and Peggy McCray Anderson. Raised in Holbrook with her two sisters, Netty Anderson Ray and Betty Anderson Jongeward, all three girls were proudly educated at Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah. In 1948, Peggy traveled to Phoenix for nurses training, but instead found her life long companion, Benjamin Parker Ashby. They were married on November 26, 1949 in Yuma, AZ, and Peggy began her career of homemaker, wife and mother, raising her children and caring for her husband in the Phoenix area for 57 years. She loved books, music and dancing and seemed to smile the most on hot summer days in our desert. She always had a warm place in her heart for all God
