Helen Marie Vasvari Kaytor, born July 31, 1910 in Hungary, passed away August 28, 2007 in Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen G. Kaytor, and is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Barnett, Mary Raupp, Helen Ross Edward, and Irene Smith John, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and special friend Joanie Minch Lou. Donald E. Summers, 79, passed away August 27, 2007 in Payson, Arizona, his home the past 21 years. He was surrounded by his loving family and dear friends. Don ranched in Colorado, and farmed cotton for 40 years in the Avondale/Buckeye area. Don came to Phoenix from Chicago in 1945-46, and graduated from North Phoenix High School, along with his wife of 58 years Marilyn Burson Summers, in 1947. Don is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn, daughters, Wendy S. Rex, Claudia S. Martinez, his son, Mark Summers, and 6 wonderful grandchildren. Mary V. Santa Maria, 83, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2007 and joined her beloved husband of 55 years, Albert Santa Maria. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, she was preceded in death by her seven sisters. She is survived by her sister, Sally Morrell; brother, Frank Villa; her five children, Gloria Balagat Rudy, Albert Santa Maria, Jr., Della Coronado Danny, Robert Santa Maria Nora, Herbert Santa Maria Diane; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. Mary loved to share her gift as a talented seamstress and blessed each family member throughout the years with crocheted gifts of love. Mary Louise Ortega, beloved mother, passed peacefully into heaven on August 25, 2007, surrounded by her family. Mary Louise was born in Morenci, AZ on August 21, 1919 to her parents Jesus and Maria Gutierrez. She is survived by her brothers Jesus Gutierrez and Ralph Gutierrez and sister Angelina Gutierrez, her children: Mary Helen Ortega-Itsell Gary Itsell, John Ortega Roberta Tsosie and Gloria Sanchez, grandchildren: Amiee Coy Todd Coy, Alessa Itsell, Bryce Tsosie, great-grandchildren: Nicole Robinson-Sanchez, Matthew and Michael Coy as well as many nephews and nieces.
One of the first Mexican-American X-ray Technologists in Arizona, she practiced her profession for over 45 years at both the Grunow Memorial and Orthopedic Clinics in Phoenix, AZ. She was a member in excellent standing in the Arizona state League of United Latin American Citizens LULAC for over 25 years. She was a member of Phoenix Council 284 and presently a member of Tempe Council 361. She held all offices on a state, district and council level and served in an efficient and responsible manner. She was the recipient of the LULAC Woman of the Year Award several times. Her involvement, participation and contribution to Arizona state LULAC were vast and professional. She will always be remembered as a great leader in this organization.
With a true gift for languages, she tutored many children and adults in both English and Spanish. She was a caring and loving woman who gave unselfishly to her family, friends and community. She had a great gift for life and her loving ways will be greatly missed. A celebration of her life will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., on Thursday, August 30, from 6 PM-8 PM, with Rosary at 7 PM. Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 2312 E. Campbell Ave., on Friday, August 31, at 10:30 AM. Douglas Louis Reutter, 83, was born on February 4, 1924 in Berger, MO. When he was 19 years old, he was sent overseas to serve our country in World War II. He was wounded, spent two years recovering in a VA Hospital, and was awarded the Purple Heart. Following his service in the military, he moved to Arizona
in 1950. Douglas retired from the Bank of America Osborn Branch Office, as Vice President and Manager in 1989. Douglas rejoined his platoon on August 25, 2007. He passed away surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, two children, and six grandchildren. He is in our thoughts and prayers. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30th, at 9:30 A.M., with Funeral Service at 10:00 A.M., at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd. Interment will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.

Ofelia Grace Archibeque, infant daughter of Ronald and Cristina Archibeque, died August 23, 2007 in Chandler, Arizona. Besides her parents, Ofelia Grace is also survived by her grandmothers, Antonia Archibeque and Betty Torres, as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Preceding her in death were her two grandfathers, Emiterio Archibeque and Angel Torres. Ofelia Grace, although you were with us only for a few short hours, you will forever live in our hearts. We love you!! Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 E. Libra Drive, Tempe, Arizona. Audrey Sheila Weakley, 84, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on August 18, 2007. Born in Horsforth, England, she immigrated to Wellington, New Zealand at the age of 16. In 1944, she married Harry M. Weakley of the U.S. Marine Corps and settled in Peoria, IL. The family moved to Phoenix in 1952 where Audrey was the first secretary for St. Theresa Catholic Church and Gerard High School. She is survived by her son Kevin Weakley, grandchildren Julia, Michael and Erik, and brother Kevin of Hastings, New Zealand. Visitation will be held from 5:00- 8:00 P.M. Thursday, August 23rd, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd. Funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 24th, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 E. Ruben S. Hernandez El Vinagre, a resident of Phoenix, Arizona, died August 17, 2007. Ruben, born in Globe, Arizona on March 26, 1926, had served in the United States Army. He was initiated into the International Brotherhood of Boiler Makers, Iron Ship Builders and Helpers of America December 1950 through Boiler Makers & Welders Local 627 in Phoenix, Arizona. This was followed by 28 years 4 months of service with The City of Phoenix Water Distribution Division in Water Service to his first retirement. He then continued to serve the public sector for 15 years with The State of Arizona at the Veteran
