Joseph Miceli, 78, of Phoenix, AZ went to be with the Lord on Christmas Day 2007. He is survived by Josephine, his loving wife of 54 years. He is also survived by his daughter Kathy Senior and her husband Ron, his son Albert and his wife Donna, and his daughter Annette McDonough and her husband Michael. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his grandchildren, Lauren, Deanna, Brandon, Stephen, and Michael. He is also survived by his sisters, Antoinette Dragotto and her husband, Sal, and Sadie Sclafani; sister-in-law Antoinette Bulgarella; and one niece and seven nephews. He served our country in the Army during the Korean War and later in the Arizona Army Reserve. Joe was the owner/operator of a cocktail lounge for 27 years. Lucio DiFrancesca, 74, passed away December 25, 2007. Lucio was born on October 10, 1933 in Mistretta, Sicily. He came to the United States in 1961. Lucio was a successful tailor who owned his own Tailor Shop for 35 years. He was very proud of his profession. He was semi-retired and worked for Saks Fifth Avenue for 12 years. He was a very devoted husband, father, nonno and most recently a great nonno. He enjoyed climbing Squaw Peak twice a week. Lucio is survived by his wife Carmela of 47 years. Also by daughter Enza Marie Pelton; grandchildren Jason, Karianne and Ashley Pelton and great granddaughter Bailey Rose Edwards. He had one sister Rosetta Simonetta and one brother Salvatore whom reside in Sicily. Visitation will be held from 5:00

Mary A. Gorman, born December 28, 1913, died peacefully December 25, 2007 in Tucson, Arizona at age 93. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, brothers Dennis and Jerry Newby, and grandchildren Julie and Tommy Downey. She is survived by her children William Linda, Mary Baron Don, Patricia Downey William, James, and Janet Gorman. She had five grand children and two great-grand children. Mary had a long career with the U.S. General Services Administration. She belonged to Epsilon Sigma Alpha for over forty years. She
was a member of St. Agnes Parish and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Her bright and enduring light went out on Christmas day, but a part of her shines in each of us. She will be dearly missed. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 29th, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 North 24th Street. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home.

Diane Carol Hoover, passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2007. Diane was the most kind, caring and loving wife, daughter, sister and step mother. She was a very creative and intelligent person and loved her family very much. She was very much loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband Ken Hoover, her father, Michael Addelia, sister Laura Adelia and brother Tom Addelia. She is also survived by her stepsons: Dax, Christopher Suzanne and Mick Hoover as well as her grandmother Norma Coleman, aunt Wendi Mendonca and her grandsons Ethan and Evan Hoover. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice M. Addelia. Visitation for Diane will be held on Wednesday January 2nd, 2008 from 9 AM to 11 AM at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, AZ. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 AM and be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 2312 E. Campbell Ave., Phoenix and Interment to follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
