Hortencia Y. Ramirez, devoted wife and mother passed away on July 13, 2008. She was raised in Superior, AZ, before moving to Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her husband Juan F. Ramirez. She is survived by her children, Carmen Ramirez, John Rocio Ramirez, Carlos Linda Ramirez, Eddie Pat Ramirez, Raymond Ramirez, Marty Eddie Lopez, 20 Grandchildren, 18 Great grandchildren and 2 Great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 9:00 – 10:30 A.M., Rosary to follow. Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 N. 24th St., Phoenix. Interment at St. Francis Cemetery. The family requests absolutely no flowers, but memorials can be made in her name to St. Vincent de Paul at St. Agnes Catholic Church.

Charles Robert Gluth, 66, of Phoenix, Arizona died July 15th in Sun City, Arizona. Chuck was born on December 6, 1941 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. He lived life with the motto: “like what you do and do what you like”. Chuck is survived by his wife Sherry Gluth, 5 children, 4 stepchildren, 27 grandchildren, mother Geneva, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Mary Margaret Weber nee KEHOE, devoted wife of the late Ernie Weber, fortified with the sacraments of the Holy Mother Church was guided home to our Lord by the angels on Monday, July 14, 2008, at the age of 86, at her home at Brighton Gardens in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is survived by her children: Margaret “Peggy” Weber, Tom Maria Weber, Pat Ken Nuernberger, Robert Weber, Maureen “Polly” Tony Vetter, Pam Weber, and Joe Jenny Weber. A loving grandmother of Susan, Jennifer, Wendy Alan Tew, and Tim Heather LaMarsh; Allison and Stephanie Weber; Kate Brian Blair, Pete and Sam Nuernberger; Christina Nathan Bennett, Maria Luke Wombacher, Dan Jill, Theresa, and Lia Weber; Jimmy, Niki and Henry Vetter; Norman Stoddard Whitney; and Joe, Ben and Kristen Weber. Great grandmother of: Sierra Borrego; Danielle, Daphne, and Ben LaMarsh; Kaylie and Kyle Bennett; Kaitlyn LaMarsh; Skylar and Sophia Tew; and August Stoddard. The family will be forever grateful to the staff of Brighton Gardens for their never ending love and care. Peter Fiore, 84, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 14, 2008 in Phoenix. Born October 10, 1923 in Palermo, Sicily, he moved to New York City as an infant. It was there that he grew up and later married his wife of 61 years, Angelina “Lil” Fiore. Pete was a veteran of WWII, worked for the City College of New York and in 1970 moved to Phoenix with his wife and children. He later retired from the City of Phoenix, and then was often found playing in the garage, either woodworking or under the hood of a car. He will be missed and was dearly loved by his wife Lil his sweetie, daughter and son-in-law Rosanne and Dennis Ewald, son and daughter-in-law Gene and Kimi Fiore, as well as his grandchildren Deirdre Maule and Dustin Ewald. Lawrence Larry Salcido Preciado 59, devoted Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Tata, and Friend, was called home to the Lord on July 14, 2008. He was born on March 12, 1949 in Superior, AZ to Florencio and Toni Preciado. He is preceded in death by his father Florencio Preciado and Stepfather Freddy Grado. He is survived by his Mother Toni Preciado, Brother Richard Susie Preciado, Sister Susan Michael Martinez, Wife Norma Angulo Preciado, Daughters Monique Luis Lamadrid, Nichol Gilbert Shrum and Son Anthony Diane Preciado, Granddaughters Bridget, Gaby, and Adeline, Grandson Reymundo, soon to-be born grandson Anthony Lawrence Eugene, and many nieces and nephews. Larry was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 359, and was an employee of the City of Phoenix. Larry was a fantastic artist. He loved spending time with his family, his green Chevy truck, riding his bike, eating breakfast at McDonalds with his granddaughter Adeline, going to Rocky Pointe, and going to Bingo with his mom, with his lucky blue dot in his pocket. Larry’s life was dedicated to tending to his beloved nieces, nephews, beautiful grandchildren, and making beautiful memories. Larry’s relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthened during the last month and a half of his life. Larry is now flying with the Angels. We love you; you’ll be in our hearts forever. Until we meet again, somewhere over the rainbow. We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Dr. Jeromy S. Brink, who helped us through this journey and showed us the greatest amount of compassion. You have been an Angel sent to us. Donna Lee Abbott Soule, 77, a Phoenix resident for 71 years passed away peacefully on July 14, 2008 after an eight-month battle with a malignant brain tumor. She was born in Horton, Kansas on August 28, 1930. Donna was the daughter of Elma and step-daughter of Arlo who, along with brother Skip, have preceded her in death. Donna attended school at Osborn, Emerson and Phoenix Union. She completed her last 2 years of high school in Japan as one of the first military families to join their fathers during the occupation post World War II. The memories of those years and her schoolmates were always in her heart and cherished immensely. Donna loved the theater and was president of the First Nighters Auxiliary of the Phoenix Little Theater in 1970. She would have celebrated 57 years of marriage on the 20th of October. She is survived by husband Don, two sons Dan and Doug, sister Arlene, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a niece, a nephew and pseudo-daughter Debbie. This sweet, caring lady was loved by all and will be sorely missed. The memory of her will live in the hearts of many people. The family wishes to acknowledge the loving professional care that was afforded to her by the Terraces and Cornerstone Hospice. Pamela Stevens Harrison. Our beloved Pamela passed away July 13, 2008 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on December 20, 1938 to Bill and Helen Stevens in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Tucson High School where she played tennis and won the 1956 Singles Arizona State Tennis High School Title. She attended the University of Colorado and graduated in 1960 with a teaching degree. It was here she met her husband, James Dunbar Harrison, and married on July 23, 1960. Together they raised 3 beautiful children. During this time she was a Girl Scout leader, head of the junior development for the Phoenix District Tennis Association, sounded the satellite tennis programs and coached the Arcadia Girls High School Tennis Team. After her children were raised, she began working in the real estate business. For the past 16 years, she had been the general manager and heart and soul of Harrison Properties. She loved to travel and enjoyed many trips with her family and friends including several bike trips to Europe and Japan, attending cooking school in France and gorilla watching in Uganda. Tennis was a huge part of her life and she was a true competitor. Her favorite sayings were “show me a good loser and I’ll show you a loser” as well as, “no sniveling”. She loved to swim every morning with her Village Club friends and play tennis. Her best family memories were camping and fishing trips, skiing, beach vacations, tennis and back yard pool time. Pam’s family was always the center and most important part of her life as well as all her extended family and close friends. She was our glue and we will greatly miss her love, leadership, values and passion for life. She is survived by her husband of 48 years James Dunbar Harrison, Sr., her brother Jeffrey Michael Crowe of Phoenix, Arizona, her children James and Alicia Dunbar Harrison of Phoenix Arizona, James and Katharine Cochran of Greenwood Village, Colorado and Jeffrey and Melisa Harrison, M.D. of Ogden, Utah and 11 energetic grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at Christ Church of the Ascension located at 4015 East Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley at 10:00 a.m. on July 17, 2008. Mary J. Leyva. Our Lord brought Mary to join her husband, Robert, in Heaven on July 12, 2008 after a three year illness. Born in Phoenix, AZ on July 13, 1922 and raised in Scottsdale, AZ. She will always be remembered as a dedicated Wife, Mother, Nana, Tia and loyal friend. She will continue to be her family’s cheerleader as she peacefully watches over her four children: Yolanda, Ophelia, Raquel, Robert; grandchildren: Deanna, Joe, Andy, Rudy, Antonio; great-grandchildren: Anthony, Christopher, Alejandro, Selena, Miguel and Adeiya. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, but especially Helen Brown and Queta Breceda, who helped us so much with our mother. She instilled many values in her family, but the most important was her devotion to her Catholic faith. We will miss you Mom, but will always feel your love. Fidela E. Nevarez went home to be with the Lord on July 9th, 2008. She was born Fidela Escalante on May 4, 1912 in Phoenix, Arizona, and was married to Emiliano Nevarez for 56 years. Together they lovingly raised their three children: Eleanor, Mike and Joe. Fidela “Nana” touched the hearts of many during her 96 years. Throughout her life she practiced the highest principles of Christianity and service to others becoming an inspiration to all who knew her. Her helping hands, comforting arms and generous heart were always there for both family and friends. To all of us, she will always be remembered as a gift from the Lord who taught us the true meaning of unconditional love…Nana, we are blessed for having you in our lives and we are grateful you are now in our Heavenly Father’s care. We will forever love you!
