Carter, Sharlene Leone

Sharlene Leone Carter, 74, of Phoenix, Arizona, died October 3, 2009. Sharlene was born November 2, 1934, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of late Mildred and Charles Supon. On November 2, 1968, she married Leslie Carter, who survives her. She was employed by Motorola for 20 years, retiring in 1994. Sharlene is survived by her daughters, Diana Leona Udy and Amy Lynn Carter; son, Gregory Charles Porter; stepdaughter, Shirley Rita Carter; grandchildren, Lavaya Pristo, Matthew Pristo, Danielle Udy, Mallory Udy, Crystal Porter, Ruben Lozano, Devin Slewis, Daniel Horner; Tajhera Alaya, Dustin Martinez and Chad Martinez, as well as 14 great grandchildren. Her son, David Scott Udy, preceded her in death in 1999. She leaves behind a loving and bereft circle of family and friends. Her support, guidance and kindness will be missed by all whose lives she touched. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 9, 2009, at 11:00 am at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, Arizona.
