Donald E. Summers

Donald E. Summers, 79, passed away August 27, 2007 in Payson, Arizona, his home the past 21 years. He was surrounded by his loving family and dear friends. Don ranched in Colorado, and farmed cotton for 40 years in the Avondale/Buckeye area. Don came to Phoenix from Chicago in 1945-46, and graduated from North Phoenix High School, along with his wife of 58 years Marilyn Burson Summers, in 1947. Don is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn, daughters, Wendy S. Rex, Claudia S. Martinez, his son, Mark Summers, and 6 wonderful grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix, on Tuesday, September 4th, from 6:00
