June 7, 1928 – July 28, 2009
Born in Newberry, SC and moved to Tucson in 1931. Harold graduated Tucson High School in 1946. Harold began his banking career with Southern Arizona Bank in l946. Other than his draft into the Korean War, he enjoyed a very successful career with the Southern Arizona Bank. Harold was transferred to Phoenix in l975 where he remained controller with what is now Wells Fargo Bank. Harold had a passion for golf and it became his second successful career after his early banking retirement in l983. Harold and his wife were long standing members of the Arizona Country Club. Harold died 9 weeks after the sudden death of his beloved wife of 49 years and 51 weeks. Harold is survived by his only child, Thomas Mann and his son’s partner Lance Davidson. A celebration of Harold’s generous life will be held Saturday, August 1st, 1:00 pm, at the Arizona Inn, 2200 East Elm Street, Tucson, AZ. A private Military Service will be held in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, please join in Harold’s life long commitment to the Crisis Nursery. Arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home.
