Joseph Henry Campbell, 56, of Scottsdale, Arizona, was killed on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 when the de Havilland Beaver floatplane he was flying for Taquan Air crashed near Ketchikan, Alaska. In addition to flying floatplanes, Joe flew 5 years in the Grand Canyon and spent 16 years flying utility/combat helicopters for the Army National Guard. He also spent time flying for America West Express in Phoenix, Arizona and Scenic Airlines in Las Vegas, Nevada. Joe was an accomplished engineer and worked with a number of companies including McDonnell Douglas and Boeing. Many of his accomplishments are an integral part of modern aviation.
