KONZ, ROBERT J

85, of Phoenix, AZ passed away peacefully on the morning of August 25th, 2010. He was born to Nicholas Konz and Marie Konz, nee Happe in Hartington, NE. After attending Holy Trinity High School, Robert moved to Omaha and worked for Union Pacific Railroad. He served in World War II, and attended Creighton University afterward, graduating from the School of Pharmacy. Robert practiced pharmacy in Nebraska and Arizona for 42 years. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary and sons Gregory Konz, S.J., and Bruce Konz. Son Michael Konz predeceased Robert in 1992. Visitation and Rosary will be Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 pm, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 East Indian School Road, Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be Monday, August 30, 2010 at 10:00 am, at Saint Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 East Thomas Road, Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Allegiance Hospice Care Agency, 761 East University Drive, Suite A, Mesa, AZ 85203.
