Born October 26, 1926, in Globe, Arizona, and passed away in Tucson, Arizona on September 19, 2009. Laverne was preceded in death by her parents and the love of her life, her husband Jim. Survivors include her sons James and Tom Crouch; daughter Glynda Underwood and son in law Michael Mandig; her three beloved grandchildren Jennifer Osterhoudt and TJ and Melissa Crouch as well as all of the children at Tavan Elementary School whom she loved and watched over for many years. Visitation will be at 9:30 am, with a Funeral Service at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to support a meditation garden at Tavan Elementary School, 4610 East Osborn, Phoenix, AZ 85018.
