Margaret B. Martin

Margaret Rose Budlong Martin was born on August 8, 1903 in Bristow, Oklahoma Territory. She passed away on February 28, 2008 at the Beatitudes Campus of Care.
As a young girl, she attended Lenox Hall in St. Louis, Missouri, and National Park Seminary in Washington, D.C. She received her higher education at the University of Wisconsin and the University of Oklahoma, and attended law school at the University of Tulsa. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. In 1933, Margaret married William Hugh Martin, an attorney, and they spent their married life in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was there that their only child, William B. Martin, was born. Margaret will be remembered for her dry wit, sharp intellect, independence, and generosity of spirit. She is survived by her son, Bill, her daughter-in-law Nancy, and two grandsons, Craig of LaJolla, California, and Andrew of Phoenix. Services will be private. Arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home.
