MARILYN M PORTIS

Marilyn “Lynn” MacLelland Portis, 1/1/1926 – 8/25/2009. Died peacefully after a long bout with cancer. Survived by her husband, James of 46 years and her sister Joy MacLelland. She was active in the Heard Museum Guild for a number of years, serving as chairman of the arts and craft show, the Indian fair and as treasurer. After retirement she and her husband traveled full time in their motor home for over 10 years going to 49 states and all Provinces of Canada. She was a student of the Civil War and visited almost all of the battlefields, her favorite being Gettysburg, PA. Donations to the American Cancer Society, 4550 E. Bell Road, Phoenix, AZ. 85032. Services will be held at a later date.
