NORTON, LORETTO A.

Loretto A. Norton, 88, of Phoenix, passed away July 5, 2012. Born September 7, 1923 in Bisbee, Arizona to Bernard and Rose Norton, she attended Bisbee High School. She enjoyed a long and distinguished career as Executive Assistant to the Arizona Director of the Internal Revenue Service. Preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ruth Dalton, Loretto is survived by her niece, Maureen Beitman; nephews, Michael (Susan), Terry (Colleen) and Bernard (Shirley) Dalton; and several great-nieces/nephews. Visitation will be held at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., on Monday, July 9, from 5:00–7:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Basilica, 231 N. 3rd St., on Tuesday, July 10, at 10:00 A.M. followed by interment in St. Francis Cemetery. The family suggests that any donations be sent in her name to St. Vincent de Paul Society, P.O. Box 13600, Phoenix, AZ 85002.
