PETER FIORE

Peter Fiore, 84, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 14, 2008 in Phoenix. Born October 10, 1923 in Palermo, Sicily, he moved to New York City as an infant. It was there that he grew up and later married his wife of 61 years, Angelina “Lil” Fiore. Pete was a veteran of WWII, worked for the City College of New York and in 1970 moved to Phoenix with his wife and children. He later retired from the City of Phoenix, and then was often found playing in the garage, either woodworking or under the hood of a car. He will be missed and was dearly loved by his wife Lil his sweetie, daughter and son-in-law Rosanne and Dennis Ewald, son and daughter-in-law Gene and Kimi Fiore, as well as his grandchildren Deirdre Maule and Dustin Ewald. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014 or Banner Alzheimer’s Institute, 901 E. Willetta St., Phoenix, AZ 85006.
