
Haddy, Albert, passed 4/16/09 at the age of 89. Born 2/12/1920 in Dundee, Iowa to Mike Haddy and Sadie Haddy. Preceded in death by brothers Sam and John, sisters, Ceila Risk, Frieda Burger, Vivian Zachar, Lucille Evans and Mary Shadid. Albert proudly served in WWII for four years, while stationed in the South Pacific. He and his family were in the grocery business in Iowa the also owned Haddy Trucking Co. before relocating to Phoenix in l958. He then became a partner in Suncrest Poultry Farm, was an employee of Everfresh Food and worked at A-Z Rental and Sales for 19 years before retiring. Albert also was a very active member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife Delores Shaheen Haddy, his wife of 61 years. He is also survived by daughter Anita Haddy of Dallas, Texas, son Michael Debby of Phoenix AZ, four grandchildren; Kevin Robins Dayna, Jennifer Mueller Blake, Lindsay Haddy, and Nicole Haddy Brian, 8 great-grandchildren; Jacob, Eden, Elias, Hope, Christian, Zeke, Tristan and Zachary. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm, with 7:00 pm Trisagion, Monday, April 20, 2009 at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 4530 E. Gold Dust Avenue, Phoenix. Funeral Service at 10:30 am, Tuesday, April 21, at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church. Interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
