Alice “Babe” Melby Allison, 84, passed away peacefully to rejoin her beloved husband, Tom, on October 12, 2011, with family by her side. An Arizona native, Alice is a descendent of the Ryan family, a pioneering Arizona family from the Globe/Miami area. While she is survived by her 5 children and their spouses, 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson, she leaves behind a loving, extended family of sisters, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her greatly as well. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Sunday, October 16 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, October 17th at 10:00am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix 85014.
