Rebekah “Bekah” Dominique Alvarez-Santa Cruz, born on March 24, 1998 in Phoenix, Arizona, to Lissa Alvarez and Brian Santa Cruz, passed away at age 21 on May 16, 2019. Bekah was a junior at Arizona State University. All of us that knew Bekah, knew she had the biggest heart and a smile that would brighten up anyone’s day. Her passions were music, basketball, and spending time with her siblings and cousins. She had a love for different types of music concerts.
Rebekah was survived by her parents Lissa Alvarez & Brian Santa Cruz; her sister, Sabryna; brothers, Bryan (BJ) and Branden; grandparents Manuel & Olivia Alvarez and Ida & Joaquin Santa Cruz; aunts and uncles, Amy & Soilo Felix, Ana Alvarez, Alexis & Gricela Alvarez, Andrei & Beatriz Alvarez, Patricia Santa Cruz, Richard Rodriguez, Joaquin Santa Cruz and Nancy Santa Cruz; her cousins, Adrean, Ruben, Ricardo (Bubba), Daniel, Joaquin (BJ), Celise, Lorenzo, Lexi, Sophia, Alonzo, and Zoë; many extended family and friends; preceded in death by her aunt, Rebecca Pineda.
We will miss Bekah tremendously and know that she is in a better place rejoicing with loved ones who watched over her and she is now watching over us. Friends and family can pay their respects at the funeral service on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 4601 W. Encanto Blvd, Phoenix AZ 85035. There will be a viewing from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and a memorial service following.
