Anna Marie Miller 72 of Scottsdale passed away at her home on February 21, 2008. Anna is survived by her daughter Cynthia and granddaughter Casey; son Lyle; son Gregory, daughter in law Anna and grandchildren Alicia and Nicholas; son Timothy and daughter in law Ayako and loving friend Tom Harris. She is also survived by three brothers Bruce, Sam and Harold Sciotto, and their extended families. Anna was born in Indiana, PA but raised in Cleveland, OH. After moving to the valley, she worked for the City of Scottsdale, SRP and eventually Motorola’s GED plant. During this time, Anna returned to school and became a court reporter. She retired after 18 years with Maricopa County Superior Court. Following retirement, Anna made many new friends at Scottsdale College’s Fitness Center and she truly enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, hiking and attending many of the city’s cultural events. Anna was a “bundle of energy” who was loved by many and always gave to others, even when there was so little to give. She will be remembered as a wonderful devoted mother, a fun loving friend and she will be missed by all. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 25, 2008, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery. Donations in her honor may be made to Hospice of the Valley and the American Cancer Society.
