
Our beloved Mother, Isabel F. Araiza whom we knew as Nana, having just turned 95 years old, went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2015. She was born on July 12, 1920 in Cananea Sonora, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband Timoteo Araiza, sons Aberlardo, Robert, Pete and daughter Dora. She is survived by sons Tony, Alfonso, Timoteo, Margarito, Arthur and Lorenzo, daughters, Consuelo, Elauteria, Carmen, Alice, Elizabeth, Anita, Susie, Lydia and Amelia. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 AM with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.

We are on borrowed time, and I will celebrate her passing with reviewing her life in a positive way. I never knew her or grew up around her, but only up to the age of 10. I saw her once at 16, and that was it. As a historian, I look at life through the experiences of others and through many events. The only thing I can say is this that here is a poem through Robert Frost.
