ARMOLA, ROBERT AYALA

September 28, 2021 2 Condolences

Robert Armola

Robert “Bob” Ayala Armola was born on January 14, 1938, in Tempe, AZ, to Susano Armola and Trina Perez. He lived 83 years and went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 21, 2021. He grew up in Tempe and attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School. He then served in the United States Navy for 14 years. He was a Korean War Veteran and was honorably discharged at the end of his service. He also attended Phoenix College and ASU. He was an excellent chef and a self-employed caterer for most of his life. He was a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus and was a member of the Dad’s club at St. Mary’s High School. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Susano, Trina, Raymond and Esther. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Mary; daughter Marissa (David Norman); 2 grandchildren: Ariel and Tyeler; furry grandchild Bon Bon; and siblings: Mary, Tina, Richard, Charlotte and Alex.
Robert was the loving, protective patriarch of the family and will be missed tremendously. Special thanks go out to the Infinity Hospice Angels and our amazing “primo” Samuel Bracamonte for officiating the services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Infinity Hospice, and St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church.

Brad and I send our sincere condolences to you Mary and your family. Bobby was beloved by my family and I appreciate knowing him. He was a terrific chef and event provider that we enjoyed for many years. My father spoke of his wonderful relationship with Bobby over the years in the most beautiful ways. You and your family will be in our thoughts and we wish you very well.

    Much Love and Respect
    Alex Urbano and Brad Diskin
