Virginia R. (Preston) Aron

Virginia R. Aron (Preston), age 91, of Phoenix and long-time residence of Kingman, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012. She is survived by her sister Margie Capek of Cleveland, Ohio. Beloved wife of the late John A. Aron; loving mother of Thomas (Lydia), Kenneth (Ellen) and Douglas (Shirley). She had seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Born Virginia Rose Preston in Minneapolis, MN but raised in Cleveland, OH, she graduated in 1940 and married John Aron two years later. During WWII she built aircraft. Following the war, she lovingly raised three sons in the Cleveland suburb of Parma. In 1972 she moved to Kingman, AZ with her husband and youngest son where they became co-owners of the Oasis Trailer Park and Campgrounds for 5 years. She became an active member and past worthy matron of Kingman Chapter #17 Order of the Eastern Star and the Kingman Presbyterian Church. Virginia will be remembered for her ready smile, her generosity and her devotion to family and friends. She was much loved and will be missed. Friends and relatives are welcome to attend a Memorial Service on Tuesday, December 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Kingman Presbyterian Church on Detroit Avenue. Family suggests memorial charity donations be made to Kingman Presbyterian Church.
