ATWOOD-CANTER, COLLENE

Collene Atwood-Canter, 72, of Phoenix passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022. Collene was born in Houston, Texas to Warren and Margaret Atwood. The family moved to Phoenix when she a young girl. Collene received a bachelor’s degree from ASU and a master’s degree from NAU. She was very active in the Pro-Life movement for 30 years. She was also very devout to her faith, attending daily Mass and active with her prayer group. She married the love of her life Danny Canter and they have been married for 52 years. She is survived by her husband Danny; son, Adam “Jodi” Canter; daughter, April “David” Canter-Bohner; grandchildren, Ryan, Chase, Carson and Mia.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at St. Stephen’s Byzantine Catholic Cathedral, 8141 N. 16th Street, Phoenix. A Funeral Mass to be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 10:00AM at St. Stephen’s Byzantine Catholic Cathedral.
Interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix.
