Theresa “Terry” Barrett passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013 at age 90. Terry was born July 17, 1923 in Fairmont, West Virginia. She graduated from St. Peter’s High School. She is preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Bridget Hanley; siblings George, Paul, Patrick, John Joe, Mary Catherine, Dorothy, Florence, and Helen; husband, Vincent Barrett; and daughter, Pat Plucker. She is survived by daughter, Mary McIlhenny (Jim); sons Michael Barrett (Joanne) and Tom Barrett (Annie); grandchildren Jennifer Conway (Brad), David Barrett (Ashley), Molly McIlhenny, Brian McIlhenny, Colin Day, and Zach Barrett; great-grandchildren Jack and Brynn Conway. Terry began her long banking career at First National Bank of Arizona. She was an avid Bridge player and also enjoyed Saturday night poker games with her husband and friends. Terry was always active – whether sewing a new outfit, working on a craft project, shopping, or bowling. She loved to spend time with her family and looked forward to birthday celebrations and holiday gatherings. Terry will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Reception immediately following service.
