
79, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully at his home on April 22, 2016, after a long and fruitful life. Born on June 14, 1936 in Phoenix, Arizona to Harry Beck and Anna (Wynne) Beck at St. Joseph’s Hospital; he attended St. Agnes grade school and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix. He served in the U.S Army, 101st Airborne, 52nd Infantry, 2nd Division, Missile Command from 1959 to 1962. During his military service, he met Sherry Barnett in Phoenix and they were married on June 12, 1962 at St. Agnes Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Sherry and his seven children; Marty Jr (Alma), Russell (Deborah), Jennifer (Edward, deceased), Stephen (Paulette), Heidi (Willie), Bridget (Tim) and Brenda (Bryan); 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1954 N. 24th Street, Phoenix, AZ. The viewing will be held at the church starting at 9:30 AM followed by the Rosary with the Funeral Mass beginning at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road in Phoenix. Funeral arrangements by Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home in Phoenix.
