
Hazel Lee Bratt Bond was born December 26, 1921 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to James R (JR) and Hattie Hinsley Bratt. On October 10, 2009 Jesus called Hazel home to meet up with her parents and the love of her life, Leslie, as well other family members and friends who have gone before. December 1939 she moved to Arizona with her family and on August 31, 1941 she married Les in Safford. At the end of WWII, Les and Hazel moved to Phoenix where she worked at the family business, Bratt’s Ice Cream. She later went to work for Phoenix Union High School System as an Offset Print Press Operator and retired in the mid 80’s. After retirement, they enjoyed the summer months at the cabin they built during the 50”s in Walker, outside of Prescott. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and square dancing. They traveled around the country to attend square dance festivals and spent time with their friends. Hazel loved being a wife, mother, grand-mother, great grand-mother, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves behind daughter Susie Radcliffe (Chris), their children Justin Flynn (Shawnette), Travis Hudson, Erica Radcliffe Lomuscio (Andrew) & Christopher Radcliffe; son Tom Bond (Donna) and their son Chris Bond. She has 4 great grand children; Elai, Maia & Malakai Flynn and Aidan Lomuscio; sister Imogene Isom, Scottsdale, James Donald Bratt, Prescott, & William (Bill) Bratt (Marion), Phoenix, many nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-law, extended family and friends who love and will miss her greatly. Mama & Grandma we love you, miss you and cannot wait until we join you and Daddy with Jesus. We want to thank all of the family and friends who have made these past few months easier to bear. Please join us as we honor and celebrate Hazel’s life. Visitation will be held 6 PM – 8 PM on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, Funeral Services at 10:30AM on Wednesday October 14, 2009 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, located at 4800 E. Indian School Road. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren St., Contributions in lieu of flowers to Hospice Compassus, 1675 E. Monument Plaza Dr., Casa Grande, AZ 85122.
