BOURDETTE, BETTY R. MORRIS

April 5, 2013 Leave A Condolence

BOURDETTE,

Betty’s new life began on April 3, 2013 when she peacefully went home to be with the Lord.  Betty was born to Harvey and Trinidad Morris on May 29, 1922 in Litchfield Park, AZ.  She started her life career at the age of 14 when she entered the Sisters of the Precious Blood convent in downtown Phoenix.  After 36 years she began a new career in 1972 as a Unit Secretary at St. Joseph’s Hospital where she met her husband, Bob.  They married in 1974 and were married for 18 years.  Bob preceded her in death as did her step-daughter Bobbie Bates, her sisters Rafi Van Ess, Mary Harris, Carolyn Morris, Virginia De Vita, her brothers Richard, Arthur, Johnny, George, Michael and Philip.  Betty is survived by her step-daughter Roni Bourdette, son-in-law, Marty Bates, 9 step-grandchildren, 12 step great- grandchildren and 5 step great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and all her great friends.  Betty will be remembered for her legacy and love and will always be remembered for her sharp wit and “whatever” attitude.  Memorial Mass will be held at 10am, Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Resurrection Catholic Church, 3201 S. Evergreen Road, Tempe, AZ.  We would like to thank her great nurses at Westchester Care Center and Hospice of the Valley for their love, caring and support.
