Kathleen Bowen cards and obit 2

Kathleen “Kathy” Bowen, age 73, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 and immediately stepped into the glory of God’s presence. Kathy was born in San Jose, California to Jack and Rosalie Garcia on January 11, 1949. She was a spunky and fun-loving child and she remained a child at heart. She is survived by Brad, her husband of 54 years, who she met in Hawaii, while on vacation. She is survived by her son Brandon and daughters Joselyn and Kristin. Her daughter Lisa preceded her into heaven. She is also survived by 7 grandsons, 3 great grandchildren, two sisters, and her stepmom.

Kathy was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and friend. She took great delight in raising her children and sewing them costumes and outfits and helping with school projects. She was a talented cake decorator and relished painting and other creative pursuits. She was fond of board games and was particularly competitive while playing scrabble. Kathy also enjoyed fishing, huckleberry picking, and swimming. She was a warm conversationalist and appreciated women’s bible studies and Christian music.
