
Velia Y. Bracamonte, age 89, of Phoenix, AZ passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 31st, 2023. She was born on February 13th, 1934, in Phoenix, AZ.
Velia grew up and lived in Phoenix her entire life. She was married and had six children. She was a devoted catholic, mother and wife. She was involved in parish communities over her family life such as St. Marks, St. Mary’s and was a current parishioner at St. Theresa. She enjoyed social activities and sporting events and made friends with whomever she met. Most importantly, her family was the top priority in her life.
Velia is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Bracamonte and son Oscar James Bracamonte. She is survived by her daughters Cynthia (Cyndy) Naegle, Virginia (Gina) Trujillo, Elizabeth (Liz) McDonald, Geraldine (Geri) Brown and Rose Marie (Rosie) Bracamonte. Son in laws Tim Naegle, Ralph Trujillo and Bernie Brown. Also, 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
On Wednesday, April 12, 2023 a visitation will be held at 9:00 AM, a rosary at 9:30 AM, with a funeral Mass held at 10:00 AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 E. Thomas Road in Phoenix. Burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
