BROWN, ELAINE (SANDERS)

January 15, 2015 Leave A Condolence

BROWN,

crossed peacefully on January 9, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was born September 20, 1930 in Tempe, AZ, to Gladys C. (Neely) and Ellwood L. Sanders. Elaine was an extremely talented, artistic, proud, 3rd generation Arizona native who enjoyed gardening, researching family lineage, writing, cooking, faux painting, reading, playing games, watching birds, family time, and being of service to the SRF Temple. Elaine is survived by her beloved companion Jim, of 32 years, her daughters Lanae and Lisa, her sisters Pauline and Debbie, her brother David, her granddaughter Carla, great grandson Ray, and great-great grandson Lorenzo.  During the last 15 years, Elaine’s spiritual guidance came from Paramahansa Yogananda, founder of Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF). In lieu of flowers, donations in Elaine’s honor to SRF at 6111 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85012-1232 are suggested.  A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held on Saturday, January 31 at 11:30 AM at Tempe History Museum located at 809 East Southern Avenue, Tempe, AZ 85282 (southwest corner of Southern & Rural). A luncheon for family and friends will immediately follow.
