Esmeralda Bustos went home to be with the Lord and her husband Tony, Thursday, October 21, 2021 at age 96. She is survived by her three children, Olivia, Tony, and Janice, and their families including grandchildren & great grandchildren. An Arizona native, Esmeralda was a woman of quiet dignity, elegance, hospitality, and strong personal faith. A natural storyteller, Nana shared wisdom and laughter with any who were fortunate to hear her. She carried Christmas in her heart all year long and lived in what she considered to be her “Gingerbread House” for 71 years. Esmeralda created “Heaven on Earth” in her home by putting prayer and intention in all that she did. Her legacy of love will live on through the generations of children that have been blessed enough to call her “Mother” & “Grandmother.”
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 9:00 A.M., at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Followed by a Graveside Service at 10:30 A.M. at St. Francis Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.whitneymurphyfuneralhome.com.

So sorry to hear of the loss of this special lady. I’m sad that I never had the opportunity to meet her but know that she had an enormous influence on her family’s lives. I’m sad, too, that we have lost touch but I think of you often and am grateful for the special time we spent together. Keeping you in prayer and sending love snd hugs to you all.
