Michael John Carlin

of Phoenix, AZ died on November 9th, 2010 with his family by his side. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona on December 3rd to Sophie and George Carlin. Michael attended Saint Mary’s High School and graduated from Arizona State University. Michael was a member of the Arizona National Guard, Saint Francis Xavier Parish, Scottsdale 20-30 Club, The Phoenix J.C.’s, The Phoenix Country Club, and the White Mountain Country Club. Michael worked for Merrill Lynch for 42 years as a 1st Vice President. He retired in 1999 to spend more time with his family and friends and play golf. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Lynda Carlin, and his children Erin Schmitt (Tom), Michael Carlin (Lisa) of Thousand Oaks, California, Brian Carlin, Amy Breitzman (Randall) and Daughter-In-Law Rebecca Carlin. Michael adored his grandchildren Michelle, Brian, Megan, Tyler, Lauren, Josh and Michael. Michael is preceded in death by his grandson Brian Carlin. Michael’s quiet warmth, love, compassion and subtle sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A private family Mass will be held in his honor.
