Mary Joan Carroll, 63, passed away peacefully, after a long and brave battle with cancer, on January 18th in Phoenix, AZ. She was a long time resident of Phoenix. Mary Jo was born Dec. 9, 1954 in Pittsburgh, PA. She is survived by her mother, Loretta (Jardas) Carroll, sisters Teresa Nitoski (Larry), Jeanmarie Veltri (Spanky), Christine Lloyd (Jim), Maureen Davis (Eric), Laurie Remo (Jeff), and brothers Mark (Pattie), Kevin (Marie), David (Lisa), and Brian (Tammy), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends in Phoenix and elsewhere. Her sense of humor, and of adventure, will be sorely missed. A Memorial Mass followed by a luncheon will be held January 25th, at 11:00 A.M., Mount Claret Retreat Center, 4633 N 54th St, Phoenix, AZ 85018.
