Carol gave all she could to the people she cared about. She wasn’t rich in money but she was rich in her love to help people. She accepted people as they were and tried to do what she could. She was a wonderful aunt and god mother. I shall miss her.

MY SISTER JUDY AND I HAVE MANY HAPPY MEMORIES OF VISITING THE CASSAVANT FAMILY WITH OUR PARENTS GEORGE AND GRACE BUECHNER IN THE EARLY 1950’S. IT WAS ALWAYS FUN BEING WITH THE CASSAVANT KIDS. EVEN SOMETHING AS SIMPLE AS WASHING & DRYING THE DISHES WAS FUN & FUNNY AT OUR YOUNG AGES. WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THOSE HAPPY TIMES TOGETHER WITH CAROL AND HER BROTHERS AND SISTER.

I met Carol when I worked at the Little Sisters Home in Minneapolis – St. Joseph’s Home for the Elderly. She was an oblate there. I used to come to work wearing a fur coat and she said I looked like I came from Alaska or the North Pole. We became re-acquainted when I went to work at the Little Sisters home here Phoenix. We were friends for almost 50 years. May She rest in peace.
