Dr. Peter Catalano died on October 3, 2012. He was born October 19, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY. Upon completion of his education, he practiced medicine in Brooklyn from 1960-1975. After moving to Arizona, he practiced Family Medicine from 1975-1995 at Luke Air Force Base Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy of Paradise Valley, his daughter Maria L. Barberich (Kirk) of Phoenix, son Dr. Peter R. Catalano of Tucson, brother-in-law Donald Hoover, State College, PA and granddaughter Kara Barberich of Phoenix. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30am with a Funeral Service at 10:30am on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
