Age 89, died March 31, 2017 after a long illness. He is survived by his daughter Cynthia, son Kenneth (Marie Robb) and grandchildren Zachary, Elizabeth, Anthony and Olivia; his son David died earlier this year, wife Irene in 2013. He was born in Norristown, PA and graduated from AD Eisenhower High School and Ursinus College. He worked in the field of microelectronics, obtaining patents for several manufacturing processes, first for Philco-Ford in Lansdale, and later Motorola in Phoenix, where he moved in 1972. He had a quick wit, easy laugh, wise counsel, beautiful singing voice, and killer card-playing skills. He will be dearly missed. Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 3050 Walton Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA. Arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home.
