CONTRERAS, ANTONIO “JESSIE”

July 1, 2016 3 Condolences

CONTRERAS,

Antonio “Jessie” Contreras of Phoenix, AZ passed away peacefully in his home June 29th, 2016 at the age of 95. Antonio is preceded in death by his wife Felicita (Phyllis) and is survived by his children Mercy (Steve) Valdez, Martin Contreras, Barbara (Johnny) Montanez, Antonia (Ramiro) Robles, David (Cecilia) Contreras and Frances (Michael) Hernandez. His endeared granddaughter and care giver Jeannie Roman and 18 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great-grandchildren. Antonio was also known as “Jessie the Gardener”, a man that could never say “no” and a man that could bring any plant back to life. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 909 E. Washington, Phoenix with interment following at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
