I was very sorry to learn of Katie’s passing. We can rejoice that we have the promise of meeting together again. The time I spent with her while doing caregiving was a special time for me and I loved hearing her stories of when she was a little girl in Oklahoma and the time she lived in California during World War II while working on the Liberty Ships.

My condolences to Cyndi and her whole family.

Katie had another son, my husband Robert Lee Hillis and two more grandchildren, Robert and Jacqueline. Robert was between Wayne and Johnny. Both of us are sorry to hear of Katie’s passing and send condolences to the family. We wish we’d known her better.
