Joan was a gracious hostess and friend to the neighborhood, a devoted wife and mother and proud grandmother, conscious of her family’s past and present with evocative photos on the walls. I spent many Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays at the Crowley home with her and her family, always saying grace before meals while holding hands around the table. She bore her recent illnesses with grace and courage. Let the Lord now set the banquet table for her.
