It is “altogether fitting and proper” to pause, and give remembrance and respect to one who was born in Bardstown and who loved the Kentucky Derby. It’s quite an honor, too!

    In Loving Memory of Bette.
She was truly one of the best among us.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
    for they shall see God.
    Rest In Peace.

A life long friend since high school in Louisville, Kentucky 1943.

After Betty moved to Arizona, I traveled to visit in 1945. She
introduced me to my future husband of 48 years.

I have many great memories of our time together and will miss
    her friendship.
