
Reverend Deacon David George Daumit, at the vibrant age of 59, passed away on January 28, 2015 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Survived by his beloved wife Ronice Daumit, and his three children Rebecca Sturtz, Harmony Motz and Travis Motz, grandchildren Addison, Jackson and Nola, brother’s Rick and Ronald Daumit. Predeceased by parents Helen and Elias Daumit. David was the founder of New Dawn Memory Care and was a leader in raising awareness for those suffering with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairments for over 30 years. Deacon David was an ordained clergyman of St. George Antiochian Church and dedicated his life to serving God through his ministry and the church. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00pm with a Trisagion at 6:30pm, Thursday, February 5th, 2015 at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 4530 East Gold Dust Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85028. Service and burial will be held on Friday, February 6th, 2015 at 10:00am at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church. Interment will follow at Paradise Memorial Gardens in Scottsdale. A memorial fund has been set up in David Daumit’s honor through St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church. Arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home.
