Merlin Eugene “Moon” Dewalt

Born February 8, 1926 in Sparland, Illinois and passed away August 9, 2013 in Phoenix, Arizona.  He’s honored as a WWII Army Veteran.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy.  They moved to Arizona in 1956 from Illinois.  He is survived by six children; Donald E. (Wanda S.) DeWalt, Peggy A. (Robert A.) Boelke, Marsha K. (Bruce W.) Pitrof, Bruce E. (Diane J.) DeWalt, Stephen M. DeWalt and Patricia J. Lapadura; eight grand children; Wayne, Raymond, Tamara, Ronald, Eric, Jason, Jared and Angela; many great grand children, step grand children, step great grand children; brothers; Jack, Thomas, Gary and sisters; Katherine and Nancy; many nieces and nephews.  Five brothers and sisters preceded him in death.  A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 10:00 am at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 8620 N.7th St., Phoenix. Interment will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N.
