DOHOGNE, MANNETTE FRANCES

August 29, 2012 2 Condolences

DOHOGNE,

Mannette Frances Dohogne, born October 15, 1937, passed away peacefully on August 25. Born in Milwaukee, WI, Mannette attended Atwater Elementary, Holy Angels High School, and then Marquette University. She married Jim Dohogne on August 31, 1957 at St. Robert’s Catholic Church in Shorewood, WI and moved to Phoenix that same year. Her love of life and family was fortified by self-determination and will power. Her steady positive outlook and smile influenced many. She loved tennis, exercise, and many outdoor activities including hunting and fishing. She worked at Brophy Prep and volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul and St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mannette and Jim enjoyed the last 14 years in Wickenburg welcoming visits from family and friends. Guided by her strong faith in God, Mannette was a loving and supportive wife, mother, and friend. She lived her life with beauty and grace. Mannette is preceded in death by her husband, Jim. She leaves behind her four children Deb, John, Mark, and Dan and her daughter-in-law, Dawna. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren – Ben, Dan, Claire, Ileana, Briana, Jacob, Adam, Luke, Drew, and Thomas. Mannette will be dearly missed by all. A Funeral Mass will be held August 31 at 3 p.m. in Brophy Chapel, 4701 N. Central Avenue in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul.

I am sorry for your loss. God promises that one day death will be no more(Isaiah 25:8 and Revelation 21:3,4) Until then, he lovingly provides us with the hope of seeing our loved ones again by means of the resurrection (Isaiah 26:19 and John 5:28,29). May these promises bring you a measure of comfort and hope during this difficult time.
