The Dolan Family is heartbroken over their loss of Joe Dolan, who passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the age of 65. Dolan grew up in Dallas, Texas and later moved with his mother, Marianne, to Morenci, Arizona, where he worked in the copper mines, then went on to receive his BA in English Literature in 1977 & his Law Degree in 1982 from the University of Arizona. Joe married his wife, Jane, on June 6, 1987 and together they have two daughters, Katie & Annie Joe. He will be remembered by all who knew him as a successful lawyer, quick-witted & well-dressed, a great dancer, and a lover of music — everything from the Sex Pistols to Chet Baker to Tammy Wynette — and literature — from Herodotus to A. A. Milne to Jim Thompson. Above all, he will be remembered by his wife and daughters as the perfect husband and father. He is also survived by his brother, Jim, and sister, Mary.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated to honor Joe Dolan at Brophy Chapel, 4701 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. Because Joe loved animals, The Dolan Family asks that you make a donation in his name to the World Wildlife Fund. And then play your favorite song full blast.

Jane, Katie and Annie, Don and I are so sad to learn of Joes passing. He was a wonderful man and friend with a kind heart and wonderful sense of humor. We knew your dad when we were in law school and practiced law with him for over 30 years. Our hearts are broken for your loss. May God bless and keep you in his loving arms at this difficult time. I am so sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. Although it has been many years since we last met, I have always remembered Joe with great fondness as a friend. We shared many experiences together in our boyhoods and early teen years. Sincerest condolences to Jim, Mary, and to Joe’s family.

Dear Jane,
I am in complete shock.I want to believe I read this obituary wrong and it is another Joe Dolan. I can’t imagine how heartbroken you, Katie and Annie Joe are.
Joe was a one in a million from the time he started buying you flowers at Brady’s. Your romance was the sweetest. He was the guy we wished our husbands would be more like, always with style and that Je ne sais quoi.
I am sending my love and prayers for strength to all of you and I am going to play my favorite song full blast in honor of your Joe. ❤️

Dear Jane,
I are deeply saddened by the news of Joe passing.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
He Will Be Truly Missed.
I feel very fortunate to have many fond memories of Joe, especially when he was working with my husband Bill Hewitt on cases.
He truly cared and had compassion for others in all that he did.
Please feel free to reach out for anything you might need or just someone to be there for you.
Sincerely with Love,
Betsy and Clara Baker
Heartfelt love to you all.

Jane, Katie, and Annie,
I am so very sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. I have many fond memories of Joe and very much enjoyed helping him with his computer issues. I would always ask him how the family was doing and he would always proudly tell me the latest on what the girls were doing and always beamed with love when talking about Jane. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
