Donna Lee Abbott Soule, 77, a Phoenix resident for 71 years passed away peacefully on July 14, 2008 after an eight-month battle with a malignant brain tumor. She was born in Horton, Kansas on August 28, 1930. Donna was the daughter of Elma and step-daughter of Arlo who, along with brother Skip, have preceded her in death. Donna attended school at Osborn, Emerson and Phoenix Union. She completed her last 2 years of high school in Japan as one of the first military families to join their fathers during the occupation post World War II. The memories of those years and her schoolmates were always in her heart and cherished immensely. Donna loved the theater and was president of the First Nighters Auxiliary of the Phoenix Little Theater in 1970. She would have celebrated 57 years of marriage on the 20th of October. She is survived by husband Don, two sons Dan and Doug, sister Arlene, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a niece, a nephew and pseudo-daughter Debbie. This sweet, caring lady was loved by all and will be sorely missed. The memory of her will live in the hearts of many people. The family wishes to acknowledge the loving professional care that was afforded to her by the Terraces and Cornerstone Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 East Indian School Road. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you give to:
