DORA, BARBARA ANNE

March 19, 2013 Leave A Condolence

DORA,

Barbara Anne (Biendit), 73, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on March 15, 2013.  Barbara retired as a telephone operator from Qwest.  She graduated of St. Mary’s High School as did all of her children.  She was a longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 9400 and served several terms as President as well as in many positions at the District and State level.  She was also a past President of the Military Order of the Cooties Ladies Auxiliary.  She spent countless hours volunteering with her husband at the Phoenix Veterans Administration Hospital.  Besides loving family and friends, she loved Dr. Pepper, Lady Bugs, black jelly beans and the color yellow.  She will be missed.  Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Cornelius Moore (Connie/Neil/C. M.)Dora, her children: Mark Wayne Dora, Evelyn Louise Bersack (Stephen), Sherri Anne Dora, Diane Leigh Dora, Paula Joanne Rodriguez (Raul), Joseph Paul Dora, James Justin Dora (Denise), her grandchildren: Michael Dora (Rhoanne), Samantha Bersack, Santos Hernandez, Patrick Bersack, Anthony Rodriguez, Branden Dora, Dylan Rodriguez, Ryan Rodriguez, Stephanie Bersack-Adams (James), her brother Chris Biendit (Pam) and many other family and friends.  Visitation will be held from 5-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm, Tuesday, March 19, and a Funeral Service at 10am, Wednesday, March 20, all taking place at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.  Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Veterans Services Association, Inc.  (a support group for veterans that Barbara and Connie started), P.O. Box 16008, Phoenix, AZ  85011-6008.
