Doris Troisi, 91, peacefully passed away on December 8, 2008 to be with her late beloved husband of 40 years, Alfonso, who preceded her in death in 1978. Doris was born in Bari, Italy on January 29, 1917. She was one of eight children. Her family moved to New York when she was 8 years old. She married Alfonso Troisi on July 3, 1938. Due to Alfonso’s health issues they moved to Phoenix with their four children in spring of 1956. She is survived by a sister, Josephine Campanelli, a brother Tony Lella Pasquina, her sons Nick Pat deceased, Tony JoAnn and her daughters Doreen Jim Hasse and Theresa Bob Weber. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She meant so much to her family and friends. Her greatest love was having everyone gather around her kitchen table, where we will never forget the smell of her good cooking! We always felt the love and warmth of both her home and her heart and will be greatly missed as both “Mom” and “Grandma”. We are very proud of her and how she stayed strong through her struggles in life. She respected and loved her church. May she now rest in peace.
