Lopez family, i can’t begin to tell you all the wonderful memories I have of your father. He was a true gentleman and kindest person. Thank you all for sharing him with us. May you find solace in knowing he is with the love of his life and our lord. Due to the precarious condition of my granddaughter her dr had suggested I not attend but i will watch on live stream if it’s available. I love you all.

Dear Dodi, Ricky, Isabel, Teresa, Debbie and Barbara, My sympathy to all of you at the passing of the Patriarch. Dr Lopez was the most faithful Catholic and always visited his beloved wife Nellies grave after Mass during my time at St. Agnes, I always enjoyed saying hello to Dr. Lopez and all the family. He was just such a gentleman. We had some fun parties too like his retirement bash at TeePee downtown and the 95th. I will offer Mas for the repose of Dr. Jose Gabriel and I ask him to continue to pray for me. I’m thinking of all the family of course with Love and prayers for Barbara who is sick. God’s Blessings upon you! Father Patrick Gavin, O.Carm., Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Fairfield, CA

    Dear Dr. Lopez,

You will never be forgotten for your genuine kindness, love of everyone despite their status or background, and peaceful demeanor. I have never met anyone who truly knew and spread God’s love, through his actions. “You were a gift.” I trained as a surgical tech in 1964 under and with your guidance and closely worked with you in surgery. You were such a gentle soul and gentleman in the operating room that it was a pleasure and an honor to have not only been trained by you, but to have worked closely with you in the O.R. for years to follow. My aunt was Mrs. Sanoyas (O.R. Supervisor) and they were great friends and created an amazing training program. Dr. Lopez was an absolute treasure as a doctor, friend, and an integral part of training hundreds of memorial hospital technicians in our program. I went on to be nominated in AZ as a surgery tech of the year in the 70’s and I owe a lot of my success in the medical field to the great start and training that I received at the memorial hospital. I am so sad that I did not get to tell how instrumental he was in our training and for those of us that continued in our surgical careers throughout our lives! But I’m sure he knows! I am sending a million hugs and I am sure he will see my aunt Mrs. Santoyas in Heaven and share a million stories.

    Forever grateful,

    JoAnn GAMA Rodriguez
