January 5, 2023 2 Condolences

Margaret Anne Duggins

Margaret Anne Duggins was called to her eternal home in heaven on December 20, 2022 after a brief illness. She passed away at home at the age of 91. She was born November 18, 1931 to Edward and Margaret Duggins. Margaret was born and raised in Kansas City. She moved to Phoenix in the early 1960’s. Margaret worked in the insurance profession for over forty years.

Margaret will be remembered for her legacy of deep faith, novenas and endless prayer. She was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and Our Lady of the Assumption Sodality. She was devoted to the church and developed many long-time friendships with its members.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Mary Catherine Ost and brother, Donald Francis Duggins. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 E. Campbell Avenue, Phoenix, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Margaret will be laid to rest with deceased family members at a later date in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church or to Our Lady of the Assumption Sodality.

Margaret, was an absolute delight and I counted her as a wonderful Sister Sodalist and friend. Although a newer friend, I felt like I had known her most of my life. Her gift of humility and speaking from the heart endeared her to many people and especially to me. She was honest and full of vigor. Her – authentic self was fun, loving, truthful and her attitude . . . was to be admired. I will miss this beautiful lady. I will always keep her in my heart.

    God Bless you sweet Margaret.

    Adele
