I met Damion in 2006 or 2007 at a call center where I was assigned to train him on the phones. He introduced himself to me as Ox, which was an abbreviation of one of his many names. He was so different from any man I had ever met!! Being from The Chi, that was natural! He taught me how a man is suppose to be when in the presence of ladies, at all times! We enjoyed so many times together! There was never a dull moment with him! He had the greatest smile, laugh and the best bear hugs!! Since that first time meeting at work, we remained in each others lives! He even came to several of my families functions. Naturally, they fell in love with him too. The last thing I heard from him on 09/02/2021, he asked me to go to the legion to go stepping with him on some upcoming date. I told him to keep me posted on the date so that it wouldn’t be on a date I already had plans. I wanted to practice with him so we could step at my wedding reception in January. God saw fit to call him home though before that could happen. People come into your life for a reason, a season & a lifetime. For me, Ox came into my life for all three! He was nothing but pure joy in my life. I am beyond privileged and blessed to have had this wonderful man in my life and we always made sure to let each know that we loved each other. I miss him so much already and I will continue to, until we meet again. Rest Easy and Well, my dear friend!

Rest in Heavenly Peace my dear cousin. You were always much more than a cousin to me. You were pretty much my older brother. I am going to miss the visits and you just calling for no other reason except just to make sure that I’m alright. Most of all I will miss those bone crushing bear hugs after we haven’t seen each other in a while. Though I’m sad now I will rejoice and cherish the memories until we meet again. Much love and rest in power King. My deepest condolences to My Aunt Cathy and cousin Jerome and Damion’s children, friends and loved ones.

I’ve known Dino since we were kids we grew up together , it’s was never a dull moment being around him , fun -loving , always jus a joy to be around , He enjoyed Arizona but he was definitely a True Chicagoan and he always talked abt his City he loved so much , His deepest 2 loves was his Family and Music . I will miss all the stepping music he would send me along w teasing me abt the cold weather in Chicago, he was truly a great friend to me , Tam I’m so grateful tht he had someone that loved him truly to the end , I appreciated your Kindness u have shown me during this difficult time . I prayed the Durham family find the peace they need to keep joy in their hearts instead of Sadness especially on days whn it get hard to manage . May it not be the End but a temporary sleep . I WILL TRULY MISS HIM HERE FOR NOW

Rest in Heavenly Peace my dear cousin. You were always more like my big brother than my cousin. I will miss the visits and phone calls. No matter how long we’d been apart, when we finally did get to visit it was like we’d just seen each other a week ago. We always picked up where we left off. Most importantly I will miss that backbreaking bear hugs. You were one strong dude, which makes it feel even more unbelievable that you are gone. I will cherish the memories and love you eternally. Rest easy big cuzzo. Until we meet again. Love you bro!

I have no words that could express how saddened I was to learn of Dinos’passing. We never met in real life but were great facebook friends. He spoke of his lovely wife and his kids often. His family meant everything to him and I know the sadness of this loss seems unbearable but hold on to his smile and his laugh but most of all the love he had for you. His light has not gone out it is shining brighter from heaven.
