
Erasmo “Ross” Arrendondo Corrales passed away on 03/01/08 at the age of 93. Ross was born in Rodeo Durango, Mexico on November 18, 1914. He came to the U.S. at the age of 3. He lived in Phoenix most of his adult life and graduated from Phoenix Union High School. He retired and moved to Nogales, Arizona. Ross served in the United States Navy, the Arizona National Guard and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 41. He is survived by his wife Connie Corrales, daughters, Lillian Corrales Jacobsen, Gilbert, AZ, Sylvia Foley Pat, Dallas, Texas, son Dennis Corrales deceased, brothers, Alphonso Carrasco and Efrain Carrasco, niece, Ersie Salcido, nephews, Gus and Albert Enriquez, grandchildren, Ralph Fierros, Tammy Pike Dave, Stephanie Jazzar Abdul, Melanie Lutz Ben, Mark Fierros Beth, Holly Hendrickson Ben, and Matt Foley, great grandchildren, Ream, Rashad, Amanee, Layth, and Jad Jazzar, Taylor Pike, Chase Pruitt, Landen and Channing Lutz, and Lauren and Collin Hendrickson. Ross was cherished by his family for his loving ways and unique sense of humor. He spread laughter and good cheer wherever he went with his courtly ways and graciousness. Ross loved to share stories of family history with his children and to entertain his grandchildren with his dancing and jokes. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 5th, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 6th, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 440 E. Elliot Rd., Gilbert, with Interment following at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
